The program begins with Yau Yuen-hing's "Fanfare Prelude",composed in 2005 celebration of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta's 15th Anniversary, followed by the world premiere of Artiste Associate Ng Cheuk-yin's "Fly", offering a decidedly 21st Century view of music. The second half of the concert turns towards ancient, central Europe with two works imbued with a powerful sense of the past.
