Renee Fleming's Hong Kong debut includes Richard Strauss'sserene Four lasy songs-music. Conductor Laureate David Atherton leads this all-Strauss programme which starts in the sombre reflections of Metamorphosen, written in despair following the bombing of Munich in 1944, and ends with the carefree, pre-war wit and playfulness of Der Rosenkavalier.
