Antony Leung Kam-chung (Chairman, Education Commission), Woo Chia-wei (President, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) and Lily Chiang (Vice-Chairman, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce) discuss the need for reform of Hong Kong's education system. Leung says that teachers' role is to inspire students to learn and to prepare students for lifelong learning. Woo believes that rote learning is useful in some cases. Chiang describes what she believes the business community wants - for the education system to stimulate creativity. The introduction of a four-year degree as opposed to a three-year and the need for more private funding for education and research are discussed.
